Why did Dhoni tell Ishant that 'Lumbu Tune left me alone'?

IND Vs ENG: Day Night Test is being played between India and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Ishant Sharma created history as soon as he landed on the field in this match. Ishant Sharma became the second fast bowler to play 100 Tests for India. Ishant Sharma, however, recalled Captain Dhoni’s last Test before achieving this milestone. Dhoni had told Ishant Sharma in his last match that you left me alone.

Before Ishant Sharma, only Kapil Dev was able to play 100 Tests for India as a fast bowler. Ishant Sharma, who started his career in 2007, has achieved this milestone by traveling a long distance of 14 years. In the worst phase of Ishant Sharma, former captain Dhoni supported him and somewhere due to him, Ishant was able to achieve this position.

‘Lumbu, you left me alone’

While talking with Ashwin, Ishant Sharma recalled the Test series played against Australia in 2014-15. Ishant Sharma said, “Before tea on the fourth day of the third Test match, I told Dhoni that I cannot bowl, I have taken injections. Then Dhoni said, Lumbu, you left me alone. I did not understand. Then Dhoni said that this is my last test and you left me alone in the middle.

Ishant says that it was a shocking decision for all the team members. He said, “I didn’t know this was your last test.” If I had known, I would have continued bowling. I did not know till the last day that you are retiring.

Please tell that Ishant Sharma has taken more than 300 wickets in his 100 Test match career. For India, there are Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan and two such fast bowlers who have been able to take more than 300 wickets in Test cricket.
