Earlier, ICC today announced the names of nine cricketers to choose the best cricketer of the tournament based on their performances throughout the tournament. The best cricketer has to be selected from these nine options. Two Indian cricketers have got a place on this list. Besides, two cricketers from Pakistan, three from England, one from Zimbabwe, and one from Sri Lanka are on this list. Virat Kohli: Although India exited the T20 World Cup after losing in the semi-finals, no one can question Virat Kohli’s acceptance. Apart from being in superb form throughout the tournament, he also scored a half-century in the loss against England.
Suryakumar Yadav: He performed brilliantly for India in several matches, if not in the entire World Cup. The entire cricket world is impressed by his batting. Many are also calling him the new version of AB de Villiers. He is India’s second-highest run-scorer in T20 World Cup.
Shadab Khan: This star all-rounder plays an important role in the team’s victory with the ball and the bat. He played an effective role with bat and ball in the death-defying match against Bangladesh to reach the semi-finals.
Shaheen Afridi: He was not in good form against India and Pakistan in the first two matches of the tournament. The team did not win then.
