Dehradun. In many states of North India, people have got great relief from cold and fog, but there is still heavy snowfall in the mountains. The hilly areas in Uttarakhand, Himachal and Kashmir are covered with white sheets of snow. There is also heavy snowfall in Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand. There was heavy snowfall in Kedarnath on Friday. Dham has received snowfall of up to two feet. Only snow-capped mountains are seen around here. However, apart from a few sages, no one exists here.
After the snowfall, there has been a thick sheet of snow up to three feet in the Dham. Already, the snow was frozen up to one feet in the Dham. Now two feet of new snow has fallen. The 18 km Gaurikund-Kedarnath walkway connecting Dham is also covered with snow.
Heavy snowfall in Garudchatti as well
Garudchatti, two km from Kedarnath Dham, is also experiencing heavy snowfall. The roof and paths of the houses are also completely covered with snow. The weather in Dham is still bad. While snowfall in the mountains has blossomed the faces of the tourists, the problems of the local people have increased.
