182 lakh has been released for giving stipend to 9108 Divyang girl students going to government primary and junior schools in Uttar Pradesh. Two thousand rupees per year will be given to the girl students at the rate of two hundred rupees per month. The stipend will be valid for 10 months. These stipends are given to the differently-abled girls studying in classes one to eight to motivate them towards education.
For this, up to 40 percent disabled students can apply. For this, only a certificate issued from the Medical Board or Competent Officer will be valid. It will be mandatory to fill the details of such girl students on Samarth App. For this, students have to apply. The Principal will place the list of eligible girl students before the School Management Committee.
From here, the list of approved girls will be made available to the Block Education Officer Basic Education Officer and after this the BSA will place it before the District Committee. The District Level Committee shall be headed by a Magistrate nominated by the District Magistrate. Its list is to be approved by 22 February and sent to the office of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
