The University Grants Commission (UGC) has increased the maximum age limit for candidates applying for UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to be held in May to 31 years. Since this examination could not be held in December last year. Therefore the age limit has been increased so that the candidates whose age limit has expired, they can join it. Many candidates of Bihar will benefit from this change.
The maximum age limit for the May session examination has been increased from 30 years to 31 years. The UGC issued a notice stating that exemption of up to five years has been given to the candidates and women applicants of OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, Third Gender. Here, the LLM degree candidates will be given a relaxation of three years in the age limit. There is no maximum age limit for the post of Assistant Professor. Exam dates have also been announced. Exams which could not be held in December will be on two, seven, 10, 12, 14 and 17 May. The first shift will be from 9-12 am and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The examination will be of total 3 hours. The fees for the application can be paid till 3 March.

– The last date for depositing the fees is from March 3 to 11.50 pm

EWS, OBC and NCL Rs 500 for
SC, ST, Divyang and Rs 250 for Third Gender for general category candidates .
