Bijnor police revealed double murder, dispute over land, 5 arrested

The Accused In Three Cases Who Entered Abroad Were Arrested At The Airports: Ranni police have arrested the accused in three cases who went abroad after committing the crimes. They were trapped by issuing a lookout circular and a blue corner notice. The accused in two POCSO cases, Rincon at Cherukulanji Poovathumthara in Vadasserikkara, Muhammad Ashraf at Pukuvachola house in Malappuram Chemmanusser, accused of raping a girl belonging to Scheduled Caste, Anu SV at Thiruvananthapuram Nemam SV Sadanam house after offering a medical seat in Russia, were repatriated after issuing a lookout circular and then a blue notice. Rani police arrested.

The arrests were made in important cases registered at Ranni Police Station in a joint operation by the District Crime Branch Unit and the International Investigation Coordination Team of the Kerala Police. The application of the District Police Chief was prepared by the District Crime Branch and sent to the Bureau of Immigration under the Central Home Department through the State Home Department for further action.

They were caught at the airports while taking steps to cancel the passports of the accused and issue a red corner notice. Then the Ranni police arrived and registered the arrest. The authorities detained Rincon at Mumbai airport, Ashraf at Nedumbassery airport, and Anu at Chennai airport and informed the police.

Rinson, accused in two cases last year of molesting minor girls, had crossed into Saudi Arabia after the crime. He got caught when he got to know about the police investigation and landed at the Mumbai airport instead of coming to Kerala. Ranni SI Sreejith Janardhanan and ASI Manoj, who arrived in Mumbai by air, were arrested and brought home.

In a case registered last year, Ashraf, a native of Malappuram Chemmanusher who had gone to Kuwait, was detained at the Nedumbassery airport. A team comprising SI Harikumar, CPs Sudhir, and Ashok of Ranni police station arrived there and arrested them.

Anu, the accused in last year’s case of financial fraud of 7 lakhs, had entered Russia. When he returned home, instead of landing at Thiruvananthapuram, he landed at Chennai airport and was stopped by the immigration authorities. SI Santhosh Kumar and CPO Shinto reached there and registered the arrest.

The Look Out Circular is published by the Bureau of Immigration under the Union Home Department. A Blue Corner Notice is issued by Interpol to collect personal information about an offender, including their activities, current whereabouts, etc. Investigation of the cases was under the supervision of DySP G Santhosh Kumar along with Police Inspector Suresh with SIs Sreejith Janardhanan, Harikumar, ASI Manoj, SCP O Liju, and CPs Ranju, Ajas, Shinto, Sunil, Salam, and Sudhir.
