It has been two years since registration started in the Dharani portal, which was launched by Chief Minister KCR in Telangana for the first time in the country. Dharani is an innovative, state-of-the-art citizen friendly online portal providing secure, hassle-free, tamper-proof, discretionary services in revenue administration. Dharani provides a one-stop solution for land-related transactions. Launched on November 2, 2020, Dharani has become a trendsetter in land administration.

Before the start of Dharani, registrations were done only at Sub-Registrar offices in 141 regions of the state. With the commencement of Dharani, registrations have started for the convenience of the people in the tehsildar offices of 574 manuals of the state. Registration services reach people’s doorsteps. After the registrations, steps were taken to make mutations in the revenue records related to their lands. At the same time, e-Pattadar passbooks will be generated and information related to this will be received by the citizens through SMS. The Pattadar Pass Book with 18 security features will be distributed within a week of registration.

Dharani portal has received 9.16 crore hits to date. 26 lakh transactions completed. Agriculture-related transactions are increasing significantly day by day. Long pending issues are also being resolved in Dharani. Earlier there were 2.97 lakh registrations but no mutations happened. With the beginning of Dharani, they got a solution. 3.16 Disputes related to land have been resolved by the Government. So far 11.24 lakh transactions have been completed through Dharani. 2.81 lakh gift deeds have been registered. Lakh 80 thousand people have been given succession rights through Dharani.

The government said farmers are happy that Dharani has set new standards in land administration and their lands have been protected. There are 54 lakh acres of agricultural land in the state owned by 70 lakh pattadars. All these farmers are getting the Rythu Bandhu scheme without any problems.

Ease of conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land has also been provided in this Dharani. With this, the process of ease of doing business has helped industrial development. There is no doubt that this Dharani will become a guide for many states of the country in the coming period.
