On Friday, 5 hours of continuous heavy rains in Madurai, Tamil Nadu resulted in massive waterlogging. At the same time, a video of Paschim Avni Mooli Veethi Gali came out in which almost everything is seen flowing with water and the condition of the people is unhappy. Civil construction work is going on here.
Earlier on Friday, the Meteorological Department had forecast that heavy rains may occur from Odisha to Andhra Pradesh coast and Karnataka-Telangana on Sunday-Monday. The low pressure area over the northern Andaman Sea is getting stronger. At the same time it is moving towards the east coast.
It said that the area of low pressure is the first stage of a cyclone, but it is not necessary that every low pressure area be converted into a cyclone. However, normally in the month of October, cyclones form in the Bay of Bengal and hit the east coast. Due to the impact of low pressure area and cyclonic wind, moderate to heavy rains are expected on Friday and Saturday in most areas and some areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Meteorological Department said that the sea is also expected to remain turbulent. In view of this, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the Andaman Sea and East Central Bay of Bengal on October 9-10. Along with this, fishermen have been advised not to go in the offshore area of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu from Sunday to Monday afternoon.
