Workers forced to work in closed houses will now be allowed to work from the desk of the pub. Located near Newport in South Wales, The Farmer Arms in Glodcliffe is offering staff the facility to book a desk for three hours.
It would cost up to 10 pounds (about Rs 1000) to rent a table of pubs for three hours. Apart from Wi-Fi and electricity connection, unlimited tea, coffee and sandwiches will also be available to work in this pub table. It will also give pub employees an opportunity to interact with people while following social distance.
It’s a good idea, said pub owner Craig Leith. People are bored in their homes. It is also affecting their mental health. We are getting good response from people for booking.
There will be table booking facility from Tuesday to Friday. There was a flood of reactions from people after advertising on social media. Most people called it a good idea and said that they would definitely like to go here.
