From this weekend, all eyes of cricket fans will be on the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Defending champions and hosts Australia will be looking to put up another big show, while India along with Pakistan and other big teams will be looking to win the trophy. However, currently, the qualifier matches are in the final stage. Super 12 matches will start on Saturday. In this order then the arguments started on the teams that will reach the semifinals. Many farmers have already decided on the teams that will reach the semifinals. Recently, Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has also joined this list. In his view, it was announced that those four teams will be in the race for the semis. He also mentioned the two teams that will drop out of this race. Let’s see that now.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Tendulkar said, “I want Team India to be champions for sure. In my view, India, Pakistan, Australia, and England teams will stand in the race for the semi-finals. South Africa and New Zealand teams will be out of this race. The reason for this is the situation that South Africa will face in India in September, and the South African team has been sidelined. Meanwhile, Team India will start its journey against Pakistan in Melbourne on Sunday.

“Yes, the Indian team has a very good chance. This team is well-balanced. We have a team that can play well abroad. I am very hopeful about India’s chances,” said Tendulkar.

Sachin also talked about Jasprit Bumrah’s withdrawal from this mega event. “Absence of one of the best fast bowlers will obviously affect the team. Bumrah is always one of the 11 main players. Strike bowler, and an excellent player. But, the positive thing is that the team is strong. Accept this and move on. Because if you are stuck with setbacks, it is very difficult to move forward. Bumrah’s replacement Mohammed Shami is also experienced and capable. A bowler who has performed well in the past. He could make a valuable replacement. He is already proving this,” said Sachin.
