The staff of Hindu Rao Hospital of Delhi Municipal Corporation i.e. MCD has given notice of strike. Confirming this, Health Minister Satyendar Jain of Delhi Government has said that after the notice of the employees, the corona infected patients admitted in this hospital will be taken to other hospitals of the state government for treatment.
Satyendra Jain said that the employees of the hospital should be paid their outstanding salaries. He also targeted MCD on the same pretext. Satyendra Jain said that if the MCD is not able to run the Hindu Rao and Kasturba hospitals, then it should be handed over to the state government. Significantly, the medical staff of Hindu Rao Hospital has not received salary for four months.
Hospital doctors and medical workers have been demonstrating for the last several days demanding salary payment. The doctors of the hospital gave a 48-hour ultimatum the day before and said that if their unpaid salaries were not paid during this period, they would stop service in the Kovid ward. Salary of medical workers is pending since June.
Doctors of other hospitals in Delhi have also written to the MCD and the Delhi government, demanding payment of arrears of salary. Please tell that the Mayor of North Delhi Municipal Corporation Jayaprakash expressed the confidence of finding a solution to the deadlock soon. He had said that the corporation also wants a quick solution to the problem.
