State E-Governance Awards Announced | Latest News | Kerala| News| State E-Governance Awards: Awards have been announced for institutions that have demonstrated excellence in governance through e-governance for the years 2019-20 and 2020-21. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will distribute the awards at a function to be held at Tagore Theater in Vashuthakkad, Thiruvananthapuram on December 3.
The award is for 10 e-governance categories. IT was made to reduce the severity of the Covid pandemic. The interventions were awarded a special jury award. The Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation and the Kerala High Court shared the first position in the e-Citizen service delivery category. of Thiruvananthapuram Municipality, I.T. Kannur University and State Fisheries Department have shared the position in the e-Citizens Service Delivery category. State Food Public Distribution Department and Dairy Development Department qualified for the third position. Kudumbashree and State Police shared the top spot in the mobile governance category. Kudumbashree’s ‘Grand Care’ project and State Police’s ‘Pol’ app won the first prize.
Kozhikode District Administration bagged the second position in Cyber Governance and the State Su-Museum Department bagged the third position. The first position in the e-learning category was shared by Irinjalakuda Christ College and Calicut University’s EMMRC. St. College Irinjalakuda and State Malayalam Mission bagged second position. Kaladi Sri Shankaracharya University and Thrissur C. Achyutamenon Government College also shared the third position in this section.
Kerala Start Up Mission’s website was selected as the best website. The websites of the Kerala Public Service Commission and the State Police shared the second position. Kudumbashree’s website deserves the third place. Kozhikode Pushpa Junction Akshaya Center headed by C Saritha has been selected as the best Akshaya Center in the state. The Kottayam Kurisumuttam Akshaya Center led by Shreya Sreekumar won the second position and the Ernakulam Allin Chuvad Akshaya Center led by Cini George won the third position.
Three organizations received the award for newly established start-ups. Farmers Freshzone Pvt Ltd got the first position, BPM Power Pvt Ltd got the second position and Tess Technology Pvt Ltd got the third position.
The district administration of Kozhikode won the award for the best-governed district. Wayanad district secured the second position. The State Department of Women and Child Development bagged the first position for the best use of social media for governance. Kerala Police bagged the second position and Malabar Cancer Center the third position.
Kozhikode district administration won the first position in the e-health and medicine category and the state homeopathy department won the second position. Kozhikode District Administration has won first place in the newly introduced Covid Pandemic Management Innovations category. Malabar Cancer Center and Rajagiri College of Social Sciences bagged second position in this category. Kochi Metro and State Electricity Board got the third position in this category.
The award winners were selected by a jury chaired by former Central Telecom Secretary Aruna Sundarrajan. Sebastian Paul, IT Secretary, IT Mission Director, Digital University Professor Dr. Shirley, University of Kerala Professor Dr. Meenapilla, Nasscom representative Sujith Unni, IMG. Professor Dr. S Sajeev was the jury member. The awards for 2018 will also be distributed along with this.
