Rajasthan’s Minister of State for Higher Education Bhanwar Singh Bhati made it clear in the assembly today that according to the intention of the state government, all the subdivision headquarters will be opened on a priority state colleges.
In response to supplementary questions of MLAs during the Question Hour, Shri Bhati said that no survey has been conducted to open the college at Panchayat Samiti level. He informed that with a view to spread wide spread of higher education, there is a plan to open government colleges at all subdivision headquarters and 88 new state colleges have been opened in the state during the last two years.
He informed that in future also there is a plan to open government colleges at such subdivision headquarters where there is not a single government or private college. After that, where there is a private college but not a state college, there will be a state college.
Earlier, in a written reply to MLA Subhash Poonia’s original question, he said that the survey has not been conducted in the context of opening the college at Panchayat Samiti headquarters.
Budget amount approved for construction of Government College Bassi –
Minister of State for Higher Education Bhati told the Legislative Assembly today that the budget has been approved for construction of Government College Bassi in Jaipur district.
In response to the original question of MLA Laxman Meena during the Question Hour, Shri Bhati said that the construction work will be started as soon as the budget is allocated. He informed that the proposal has been approved by the state level committee in the meeting held on January 12 for the approval of Rs. 5.35 crore for building the building of State College Bassi. He informed that the construction work can be started after the District Collector allocates the budget.
He informed that 789 students (328 students and 461 students) are studying in the Faculty of Arts in Government College, Bassi in the session 2020-21. He informed that at present there is no proposal under consideration for opening other additional subjects in the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Science in the State College Bassi.
