Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has lodged a complaint against Kolkata Police at Howrah Police Station and has demanded registration of FIR against Kolkata Policemen for allegedly misbehaving with Sikh youth Balwinder Singh.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa has demanded registration of an FIR against the accused policemen under Section 295A of the IPC.

Section 295A of the IPC is related to hurting the religious sentiments of the citizens of India and hurting the religious sentiments.

Explain that during the BJP’s performance in Kolkata on October 8, the Kolkata Police was accused of misconduct with Balwinder Singh, Security Officer of BJP leader Priyangu Pandey.

In the video of this incident, a situation like a clash between the police and Balwinder Singh is seen, during which Balwinder Singh’s turban falls down.

However, the West Bengal Police has issued a statement in this regard saying that the policeman present there did not pull the turban and the turban itself fell amid the uproar. In this case, BJP and Sikh organizations have accused CM Mamata Banerjee of insulting Sikhs.

The Kolkata Police claim that he had a weapon that led to his clash, and he was carrying it during the demonstration, during the seizure of that weapon, the tussle came and the turban fell down.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Singh Bagga has written a letter to the National Minorities Commission and demanded action. Taking cognizance of this letter, Atif Receipt, member of the Commission has said that immediate action will be taken on the complaint.
