On the Prime Minister’s remarks, senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that our Prime Minister is tasting Indian fake news to Bangladesh. Everyone knows who liberated Bangladesh.
Prime Minister Modi on Friday recalled the 1971 war at the main ceremony held in Dhaka on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of independence of Bangladesh and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, saying that the heinous crimes and atrocities committed by the Pakistan Army here, His pictures were disturbing and did not allow people in India to sleep for many days.
Modi said, ‘Being involved in the struggle for the independence of Bangladesh was one of the first movements of my life. I must have been 20-22 years old when many of my colleagues and I had done satyagraha for the freedom of the people of Bangladesh.
Other senior Congress leaders, Jairam Ramesh, also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling it a “total political science”.
In retaliation, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya tweeted, “Was Prime Minister Narendra Modi part of the Satyagraha organized by Jan Sangh to recognize Bangladesh, yes, he was part of it.”
