BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has undergone angioplasty for the second time and has two stents placed in his heart’s arteries. Sourav Ganguly recently underwent an angioplasty, but on Wednesday he was admitted to Apollo Hospital after he regained chest pain. According to ANI, the former Indian captain’s second round angioplasty has been successful. Ganguly complained of chest pain while doing gym on 2 January, after which he was admitted to Woodlands Hospital. He had been in the hospital for five days and was discharged on January 7.

Talking to ANI, a close aide of Sourav Ganguly said, ‘He has successfully undergone angioplasty. Two stents have been put in place and his angioplasty has been successful. Medical tests were done after Saurav Ganguly was admitted to Apollo Hospital and after that it was decided that he would undergo a second angioplasty. In the morning, the doctor issued a statement on the position of the former Indian captain and said, “The doctor said,” Ganguly had a good sleep last night. They had a light breakfast in the morning. Many of his tests are due today, after which a decision will be taken.

After being discharged from the hospital for the first time after angioplasty, renowned cardiologist Devi Shetty said that she (Ganguly) is fit and can participate in the marathon rash without feeling free and can also fly the plane. Apart from this, he can fulfill his every dream and desire. He even said that he can exercise like a normal person. He said that Ganguly has no problem. This is a problem that most Indians face at one point or another. His health deteriorated after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went to the hospital to inquire about his health, while Union Minister of State for Finance and former BCCI President Anurag Thakur also visited him. Naidu and Modi had a phone conversation with Ganguly’s family and inquired about his health.
