That is why they save some amount of their earnings. But this saving depends on the thoughts of the individual. Also, savings are not the same in all areas. Savings also depend on the influence of people around us. According to a survey, 70% of the people save in the country as a whole. Karnataka ranks first with 88% of the state-wise population. Karnataka is the state with the highest saving population in the country. 84 percent of people in West Bengal are saving through micro-savings schemes. West Bengal is second on the list of states with the highest saving population in the country. Compared to traditional savings schemes, people of Gujarat and Punjab have opted for savings by investing more in the capital market. People here have more faith in the capital market. The Money9 survey revealed that households in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Andhra Pradesh are saving less compared to other states. It has been found that the people of West Bengal and Odisha are saving more in small saving schemes. Small savings schemes are popular in both these states. Although the people of Gujarat and Punjab made fewer savings in savings schemes compared to other states, the survey showed that the people of those states are active investors in the capital markets.
70 percent of families across the country are saving. While Karnataka leads the country in terms of savings, Bihar is the least saving state. The survey revealed that families in Karnataka give priority to saving. It has been found that families in West Bengal are investing mostly in savings schemes. Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are 8th on the list of saving states while 72 percent of the families are saving. The next places are Rajasthan with 70 percent and Gujarat with 67 percent.
According to this survey, about 63 percent of households in Punjab focus on saving. The percentage of households saving in Bihar and Jharkhand is very low. In the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, 62 percent of the families chose the path of saving.. these states jointly stood at the 12th position. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jharkhand are next. Only 51 percent of households in these three states are saving some amount of their income. The survey revealed that only 50 percent of households in Bihar focus on savings.
