AAP leader Jain has stated in the petition filed in the court that he has not eaten a single grain in jail for six months and has not even received food brought from outside. According to TV9’s Bharatavarsh report, in the petition filed by Satyender Jain in Delhi’s Roose Avenue Court, he has stated that he has not been given cooked food and food items for the past 6 months. In his petition, Jain explained that this happened because he practices Jainism. Jain said that according to his religion, he is not allowed to eat cooked food without praying first. He said that he lost 28 kg weight due to not eating properly in jail. However, according to Tihar Jail sources, Jain gained 8 kg weight while in jail. But BJP leaders are criticizing Jain Lauer for claiming that he has lost 28 kg.

The 58-year-old Delhi minister was arrested on May 30 in a money laundering case. Since then, criticism has been going on between BJP and AAP. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that they are accusing the Aam Aadmi Party of showing their power in the Gujarat elections.
