The rupee fell 21 paise to 73.13 in early trade on Thursday due to the fall in the domestic stock market and the strength of the US currency. The domestic unit opened at 73.13 against the US dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market, showing a fall of 21 paise over the previous close.
The rupee closed at 72.92 against the dollar on Wednesday.
