Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar were named on the second day

IND Vs ENG 4th Test Day 2 Stumps: The game of the second day of the last Test of the four-match series being played between India and England has come to an end. India have scored 294 runs for the loss of 7 wickets till the end of the second day’s play. India has gained 89 runs in the first innings and now they have three wickets in their hands. Sunder 60 and Akshar Patel remained unbeaten by 11 runs until stumps.

India started playing on the second day by 25 runs at the loss of one wicket. But on 30 runs, India lost the wickets of Pujara and Kohli. For the second time in this series, captain Virat Kohli returned to the pavilion without opening an account. Ben Stokes took the wicket of Kohli.

Rohit Sharma tried to handle the innings with Rahane. Rahane but once again failed to play a big innings and he scored 27 runs. Rohit Sharma batted brilliantly but he too missed making his half-century by just one run.

India had lost 6 wickets for 146 runs and India seemed to be in a lot of trouble. Pant took the front along with Sundar during this time. Between these two players, a 113-run partnership for the seventh wicket was held.

Pant hit a hundred with a six

The second day of the last Test was completely named after Rishabh Pant who completed the third century of his Test career by hitting sixes. Pant, however, could not stay at the crease for a long time after scoring a century and he became a victim of Anderson by scoring 101 runs.

Sundar also completed the third half-century of his Test career. Sunder remained unbeaten by scoring 60 runs till the end of the game. Axar Patel also did not allow any more wickets to fall and remained unbeaten on 11 runs.

The last session was disappointing for the England bowlers. For England, Anderson took three, Stokes and Leach took 2–2 wickets. England are already trailing 1-2 in the four-match series.
