How did Ramdas, who asked for 20% reservation for Vanni, agree to 10.5%? So has the remaining 9.5% decided not to make reservations? That was questioned by Vizika leader Thirumavalavan.

Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) leader and Member of Parliament Thirumavalavan today attended a Marxist Communist Party conference in Vadipatti near Madurai. He arrived in Madurai by plane from Chennai to attend the conference. Speaking to reporters at the airport, Thirumavalavan said, “The Election Commission is not functioning independently. The BJP’s involvement in the Election Commission has been confirmed. It has been announced to hold elections in Tamil Nadu in a single phase. But in West Bengal, which has 60 more constituencies than Tamil Nadu, holding elections in eight phases can be seen as politically motivated.

The only census taken in 1931 was on the basis of caste. Since then there has never been a caste-based survey in the OBC community. If there were probably 10.5% Vanni it could be the 1931 census.

It is almost 70 years since the 2021 election. The reservation, based on the 1936 census, was based on the 2001 census.
How did Ramdas, who asked for a 20% quota for the Vanni, agree to a 10.5% quota? So has Ramadas decided not to reserve the remaining 9.5% of the population? The question arises as to on what basis this was agreed upon. This is seen as election-period drama.

Everything, including the announcement of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy’s debt waiver, has to be seen as election drama. Only by conducting a Sativari survey can we know the percentage of each community. After that, we can take action like reservation, ”Thirumavalavan said.

Similarly, the other 93 communities in the MBC section have protested against the allocation of 10.5% internal quota for the Vanni out of the 20% reservation given to the most backward sections and have decided to appeal to the court.
