She came into depression after the death of her father Ashok Chopra.

Dr. Ashok Chopra, who was a Physician in the Indian Army, died on 10 June 2013. He died at the age of 62 due to cancer. Priyanka was to start shooting for the film ‘Mary Kom’. He used the work as therapy, so that he could come out of his father’s demise. However, the film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali asked me to re-schedule the shoot, but I refused. I felt that I had come out of my misery, but no, I was still carrying it with me. I could not understand how to move from a gray world to a colorful world.
