Misleading information often goes viral on social media. A YouTube video has been going viral for the last several days, in which it is said that the central government is depositing an amount of Rs 90,000 under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Samman Yojana’ in everyone’s bank accounts. At the same time, in a message on Whatsapp, it is being claimed that in view of rising unemployment, on this Navratri, the central government will give job opportunities to the unemployed from home. When both of these claims were fact checked by PIB, it was found that both claims are fake.
Central government is not running such a scheme
The PIB Fact Check clearly states that this claim is false. The central government has no such plan. According to the tweet, a YouTube video claimed that the central government was depositing ₹ 90,000 in the bank accounts of all under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Samman Yojana’. #PIBFactCheck: This claim is fake. No such scheme is being run by the central government.
PIB tweeted that the claim: – In a message on #Whatsapp, it is being claimed that in view of rising unemployment, on this Navratri, the central government will give job opportunity to the unemployed.

The PIB has suggested that such fake news is circulated on social media whenever there are bad conditions in the country, not just in the time of the Corona crisis.
