Omc Case: Big Relief For Ias Officer Srilakshmi In The Obulapuram Mining Case, High Court Dismissed The Charges: The Telangana High Court has given a clean chit to IAS Srilakshmi in the Obulapuram Mining (OMC) case. The court issued orders dismissing the charges against Srilakshmi in this case. Srilakshmi was in jail for a year in this case. From 2004 to 2009, Srilakshmi worked as the Principal Secretary of the Mining Department. In relation to this case, the CBI.. could not provide the court with the correct details of the criminal charge against her, so the court gave her a clean chit. With this Srilakshmi got relief from the OMC case. She is accused of taking bribes from Obulapuram Mining Company. A case was registered by the CBI and he was in jail for a year. Srilakshmi was acquitted by the court in the Obulapuram Mining (OMC) case. With this, the obstacles for Srilakshmi to be appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Andhra Pradesh have been removed. Srilakshmi is the sixth accused in the Obulapuram mining case belonging to former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy. She was arrested in 2011. In 2011, she was suspended by the state government after she was arrested in an illegal mining case. He is a remand prisoner in Chanchalguda Women’s Jail. He was later released on conditional interim bail.

The suspension was lifted by the government after he was released on bail from jail. Srilakshmi has heard her arguments from the lower court to the higher court on the charges. Srilakshmi’s lawyers argued in the High Court that she acted beyond her scope as the Industrial Secretary. The lawyers contended that she looked into the affairs of the OMC in the context of her responsibilities as Principal Secretary, Mining. The CBI argued that Gali Janardhan Reddy acted in favor of Gali Janardhan Reddy even though many people had made bids during his tenure as the Principal Secretary of Srilakshmi Mining. The CBI has heard its arguments in the High Court that the six-month lease has been extended to three years.

1988 batch Srilakshmi served as Secretary of Mines in Andhra Pradesh. He has been in jail for almost a year after being arrested on charges of making an undue profit in the allotment of mines. Srilakshmi was in the Telangana cadre after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Worked as Principal Secretary, Telangana Public Enterprises Department. After that, he applied to go to the Andhra Pradesh cadre, and after the Telangana government gave a green signal, he was transferred to AP. On joining the AP cadre, she was posted as Municipal Secretary. Srilakshmi, who is the Secretary of Municipal Administration, has been promoted to Above Supertime (HAG Scale), Level 15. Appointed as Chief Secretary in that department. They are considered as ‘regular promotions’. The promotion will continue depending on the outcome of the pending court cases against her. She was promoted to Abou Supertime Scale (2), ApexScale- Level 17, and posted as Special Chief Secretary. It is called ad hoc promotion. With the High Court’s verdict, the obstacles to her being appointed as the Chief Secretary of AP have been removed.
