This time Delhi University is going to make many major changes in its admission process. Admission in all subjects in DU will now be on the basis of entrance examination only. These admissions will be through the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUSAT). DU has prepared the detailed framework for this.
DU acting Vice Chancellor Prof. PC Joshi says that there will be positive changes in the admission process. It is our effort that students do not face any problem in admission in any way. DU admission will be in line with the new education policy. This will be the basis of merit of both admission for 12th marks and CUSAT entrance examination marks. DU recommends that 50 per cent of the student be merged on the basis of board marks and the rest of the CUSAT marks. It is suggested to fix the marks of the board according to percentile, because having different boards does not make them symmetrical.

Pro. Joshi says that we are looking in this direction to get admission on the basis of the rankings which will be taken by combining the marks of 12th and the marks obtained in CUSET. It is to be known that earlier in DU, some subjects of graduate used to enroll on the basis of entrance examination.
Members of the committee made by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUSAT), Prof. PC Joshi said that all central universities will enroll under CUSET itself. The National Testing Agency will take its entrance exam. We are moving towards finalization of this process.

Courses will increase in the coming times
. There is considerable diversity in the subjects taught in DU. In this, while the honors courses are in line with the content of the subjects, some topics are adjusted in the program course. Regarding the courses taught in a DU full of diversity, Prof. Joshi says that due to the changes in accordance with the new education policy, courses in DU will not decrease but will increase. We have also made public the draft of the new education policy to be implemented in DU.

How will one decide the admission test, university
A senior professor said that due to CUSET, the student will not have to take separate entrance examination for admission to different university. After the CUSAT examination, the student will be eligible for admission to all central universities, if he / she fulfills the prescribed qualifications of the concerned university. This process is in line with the new education policy. But after passing the entrance examination, the basis of admission can be decided by the university accordingly.

The importance of the exam result will not be undermined
DU Students’ Welfare Prof. Rajeev Gupta says that the result of 12th in graduate admission will not be reduced. Because if it does not happen then the coaching center will get boosted and the student will not then be preparing for the entrance examination for graduate admission only. He says that the National Testing Agency will give the result by conducting the entrance examination. After this, DU will determine how to enroll.

The questions will be asked from the subject of 12th,
NTA will take the entrance examination only from the subject studied in 12th. Under this, students of Science, Art and Commerce, if they have studied the subject in class 12, will be asked questions related to it. Important subjects will be in the entrance examination. It will have questions from other subjects including language, physics, chemistry, mathematics. Students will have the option of choosing which subject. The subject of one language will be compulsory in this. Apart from this, there will be three academic subjects. The entrance examination will be in two parts. In the first question paper, questions will be from Language, Elementary, Reasoning, Mathematics, General Knowledge, General Awareness. Whereas the second question paper will contain the question which the student must have read in class 12th.
