The grid failure resulted in a power cut across Mumbai. People are facing troubles everywhere. It has been decided to re-conduct examinations of several colleges affiliated to Mumbai University due to the failure of the power grid on Monday morning. Some places had to be closed after the commencement of examinations. The colleges which were to be held from 11 am or later were completely postponed there.

Mary Fernandes, Principal of St Andrews College, Bandra, said, “We had originally decided to conduct the exam at 4 pm but due to no clarity on the power situation our cluster head asked all the colleges to cancel the exam Has been informed. ”

Both Casey College and HR College decided to postpone their exams for the day and reissue it on the following Sunday as well.

Casey College, Churchgate Principal Hemlata Bagla said, “We do not want to keep the students hanging all day with the hope of power being restored. In some places the students may face electricity problem, so we did the day on Sunday. Decided to conduct all the exams again. ”

Many students resorted to social media sites to share their concerns about not appearing in the online exam.

Anuj Sharma, student of RD National College, said that our examination was going to be held at 10 am and the college informed us at about 11:30 pm that the examination was not being taken. Online classes at colleges were also affected on Monday and most colleges decided to postpone regular classes for the day.
