There is going to be a big competition in the world of OTT on 23 October. Amazon Prime Video is coming to compete with Netflix’s A Suitable Boy. The web series directed by Meera Nair stars Ishaan Khattar and Tabu in lead roles. This series is based on the very popular novel by Vikram Seth by the same name.
After ZeePlex’s vacancy, Ishaan Khattar will once again be seen showing his strength on the digital platform. Netflix has released the trailer of the series. The English-made series has previously aired on the BBC in the UK and Ireland. Now available on Netflix on October 23.
The story of a suitable boy is set in the era when India gained independence from British rule. The story revolves around a girl Lata and her mother, who is looking for a boy for her wedding. Lata is a student of literature. Between her family responsibilities and her eagerness to romance, Lata embarks on a journey of emotion, where there is a prick of breaking up with the joining of hearts. Three men come into her life, who try to win her heart.
Man Kapoor is also an important character in this story, whose romantic relationship puts his father’s political career at risk. India’s future with Lata and Mann is also changing tomorrow. The first general election is going to be taking place in the country which is breathing new freedom.
Ishaan Khattar is in the role of Man Kapoor, while Tabu is in Saida Bai’s role. A romantic relationship between these two is shown. Tanya Manikatla is in Lata’s role. The series will feature strong actors like Rasika Duggal, Ram Kapoor, Vivaan Shah, Namit Das, Ranveer Shorey, Vijay Verma, Vinay Pathak, Manoj Pahwa and Vijay Raaz. The series will be aired in 10 episodes.
