Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. has recently received official documents to build the country’s first oil refinery in Mongolia. Along with the authorization order for the Mongolian refinery project, the agreement documents were also signed by the representatives of the country of Mail and Mongolia. The greenfield refinery to be built in Mongolia by Hyderabad-based company Mail will be one of the historic projects. To this extent, many appreciate the mail company. They are happy about the progress in the field of mail construction in the country as well as abroad.

MEIL will construct EPC-2 (Open Art Units, Utilities & Offsites, Plant Buildings), and EPC-3 (Captive Power Plants) at a cost of USD 790 million using advanced technology in Mongolia. The project is part of the Government of India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Development Partnership Administration initiative, the Mail said. It is being built by the Government of India. Engineers India Limited (EIL) and Project Management Consultant (PMC) are also collaborating on the Government-to-Government (G2G) partnership project.

This Mongolia refinery will generate many employment opportunities and jobs in the coming years. It supports the development of small-scale industries in the vicinity. The mail said that this will lead to the economic development of Mongolia. According to MEIL.. this project is of immense importance. In India-Mongolia relations, MEIL represents a key step in the expansion strategy in the hydrocarbon sector. In addition, the project will contribute to Mongolia’s economy and energy.

Mongol Refinery Project

To reduce Mongolia’s dependence on oil imports from Russia, the country is building its first greenfield oil refinery – the Mongolian Refinery. The pipeline and power plant is part of refinery operations. Once completed, the refinery will be able to process 30,000 barrels of crude oil per day or 1.5 million tonnes annually. This will reduce Mongolia’s dependence on Russian energy. It helps the country meet its requirements for petroleum products like gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
