Indian Railways has made a big halt in reservation rules from 10 October i.e. from today. Now the second chart of ticket reservation in trains will be released half an hour (30 minutes) before the train opens from the station. Indian Railways has decided to restore the previous system of preparing the second reservation table from 10 October, half an hour before the scheduled departure of trains from the stations. In view of the corona virus epidemic for the last few months, this period was reduced to two hours before the scheduled departure time.

The Railway stated that under the guidelines before Kovid-19, the first reservation table was prepared at least four hours before the scheduled departure time of the trains, so that the available berths are ‘first come-first’ till the second reservation table is prepared. Can be booked on PRO counters and through internet.

Reservation

Railways will be able to take place up to 5 minutes before the train opening , said that the second reservation table was prepared from 30 minutes to five minutes before the scheduled / changed departure time of trains. Pre-booked tickets could also be canceled during this period as per the provisions of refund. He said that in the wake of Corona virus epidemic, the second reservation table was directed to be extended from half an hour to two hours before the scheduled / changed departure time of trains.

He said, “In order to ensure convenience for the railway passengers, the matter was considered according to the request made by the zonal railways and it was decided that the second reservation table should be at least half an hour before the scheduled / changed departure time of the trains. Be prepared. ‘ He said, “Accordingly, ticket booking facility at online and PRS ticket counters will be available before the preparation of the second reservation table. CRIS will make necessary changes in the software so that this system can be restored from October 10.

Significantly, the Indian Railways suspended all passenger train services from 25 March due to national lockdown. However, it restored its services in a phased manner, starting from May 1 with the introduction of Shramik Special to transport migrant laborers to their home state.
