In view of the Mahakumbh in Haridwar, the state cabinet has decided to get one crore rupees works in all the 13 akharas. After the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik gave information in this regard. According to Kaushik, governments have been mobilizing necessary facilities in every arena to facilitate saints during the Kumbh Mela.
Earlier, temporary tents were used to provide accommodation and toilets etc. In this, the concerned arena also used to spend some money. In the same sequence, the government has now decided to conduct construction work of one crore rupees in each arena. He told that these construction works will be on the land registered in the name of the arena. After Kumbh it will be maintained by the concerned arena. Construction works in the akhadas will be done under the supervision of the magistrate.
