Liton Das who danced the Nagin dance even before the teeth of the Indian Bangla tigers fell: Two magnificent records were Recorded:  Adelaide witnessed another last-over climax in the World Cup. India topped the group standings with the victory as the Tigers rallied in a rain-hit match. India won by five runs.

Former captain Virat Kohli’s unbeaten innings helped India. Kohli scored 64 runs from 44 balls and KL scored a half-century. When Rahul and Cuttack’s Suryakumar Yadav joined, the Indian score reached 184. India set the target of victory by losing six wickets.

In reply, Liton Das gave Bangladesh a good start. When the actor was lighting the firework for the big actresses, it was raining and the match was stopped for a while.

 

Duckworth re-set the target of 151 runs in 16 overs as per Lewis rule. But after the rain, Liton Das was out within minutes of the start of the game.

The player scored 60 runs from 27 balls with seven fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 222.22.

Bangladesh fell five runs short of victory when co-opener Najmul Hossain Shanto and Nurul Hasan fell.

After the win, India also managed to top Group 2.

Despite losing the match, Liton Das’s performance was widely applauded. The best performance of the match came from Lytton’s bat. But the reason for Bangladesh’s defeat was not getting good support from other players.

Liton Das had two T20I records to his name during the match.

The first of these is the record of becoming only the third batsman to complete a half-century in the Powerplay in the ICC T20 World Cup. The player completed his fifty from 21 balls.

Ireland star Stephen Myburgh in the 2014 World Cup, Indian superstar KL in 2021. Rahul is the other batsman who has achieved this feat.

 

The player also holds another record of being the first player to complete a half-century while also crossing the team score of 50.

Liton Das completed his and his team’s 50 by hitting a six while the individual score stood at 45 and the team scored at 48. Fellow opener Shanto scored only three runs from 11 balls.

After the defeat against India, Bangladesh is still in the third position. Bangladesh has four points from four matches with two wins and two losses each.

Bangladesh’s next match is on November 6. Pakistan will be the opponent in the match which will be held in Adelaide.
