Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla addressed the prize distribution ceremony of Pride of the Nation Excellence Award 2021 organized by the Respect India Institute in New Delhi on Sunday. The event was held on the eve of International Women’s Day. The program was also attended by Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Lok Sabha MP Manoj Tiwari.
At the beginning of her address, Om Birla greeted everyone on the occasion of International Women’s Day, on the occasion, she said that Indian society has kept women ahead in every task, she further said that our culture and culture has not only honored women Granted but broad rights have also been given. Referring to the contribution of women, Birla said that the women of this country have increased the respect of the country all over the world by their ability.
Om Birla said about the progress of the country and society, that in the journey of democracy, the leadership and the leadership of women in the political, social, and economic fields have led the society to progress. He further said that today there is no region of the country where women have not taken the lead. Referring to the constitutional visit of the country, the Lok Sabha Speaker said that it is our strong democracy where women have taken leadership in every post like President, Prime Minister, Chief Minister etc. Regarding basic democracy, Birla said that today the sarpanch is the highest number of women in the Gram Panchayat level. He further said that the current 17th Lok Sabha has the highest number of women MPs in history.
Regarding the contribution of women in the society, Om Birla said that women have done the work of guiding the society and the whole society will be committed and women will have to work in every field. She said about the contribution of women towards family and home, that there are daughters who handle two families, and this strength and power lies only in the Indian woman.
