Corona vaccination is going on very fast in India and so far 65 lakh 28 thousand people have been vaccinated. According to the interim report by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday evening, till 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening, 65 lakh 28 thousand 210 people have received their first dose of Corona vaccine. There are 55 lakh 85 thousand 43 health care workers while 9 lakh 43 thousand 167 are frontline workers.
On Tuesday, vaccination took place in all states and union territories except Uttar Pradesh. By 6:30 pm on Tuesday, the first dose of Corona vaccine was put on 2 lakh 69 thousand 202 beneficiaries. There are 1 lakh 2 thousand 941 health care workers, while there are 1 lakh 66 thousand 261 frontline workers.
Some states are working very well and quickly in vaccination while some are at very slow pace. There are 12 states in India where more than 65 percent health care workers have been vaccinated. These states are Bihar, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Mizoram, Uttar Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Kerala. Bihar has the highest number of vaccinations in these states.
At the same time, there are 11 states and union territories where less than 40 percent of the beneficiaries have received the Corona vaccine. These states are Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Dadra Nagar and Haveli, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Puducherry.
In the last 25 days, more than 65 lakh people in India have been given Corona vaccine. At the same time, Corona had vaccinated more than 60 lakh people in just 24 days. While it took the US 26 days to do this, Britain took 46 days.
