During the opening of the septic tank suturing in a private house at Kandi block headquarters, four laborers including three people of the same family died. The incident took place at 9.30 am on Wednesday. All the workers landed inside the suttering opening tank. The dead include 40-year-old Mithilesh Mehta, 35-year-old Anil Mehta, 18-year-old Nagendra Mehta and 19-year-old Praveen Mehta.

According to the information, Mithilesh Mehta, Nagendra Mehta and Praveen Mehta went inside the tank to open the suturing fitted in the septic tank in the newly constructed house of Akhilesh Dubey. When there was no movement for some time, Anil went inside to see them. He fainted there until he could understand something. For some time there was no movement, when the people around came to see, everyone was shocked. All were lying unconscious inside the tank. All four primary health centers were brought to unconsciousness. On not getting a doctor here, all were brought by private vehicle to the referral hospital in the middle, where all four were declared dead.

Road jammed for not getting treatment: On lack of treatment facility at the Kandi Primary Health Center, the villagers went on a rampage and blocked the Ketar-Kandi road. He said that if there were doctors at PHC and facility of treatment, then probably the lives of the people would have been saved. The villagers were demanding action and compensation on the doctors. On the information of the jam, Sadar SDO Jiyul Ansari, Bansidhar Nagar SDO Jayawardhan Kumar, SDPO etc. reached the jam site but the villagers were frozen there till late evening. In addition to 24-hour doctor’s appointment, treatment and ambulance arrangements in the rural hospital, Sanjay Prasad was lodged with an FIR and was demanding compensation for the arrest of four lakh rupees.
