Students have been given another opportunity to enroll in the remaining seats of engineering and non-engineering courses to be conducted in state and private industrial training institutes (ITIs). Till Monday, students can get admission on the spot on the remaining seats by appearing in the institutes. The admission process started from Saturday. To get admission, new students can also submit online application on the website of Industrial Training Department Haryana.
Principal of Government Women Industrial Training Institute, Sector-14, Sarala Arora said that the Department of Skill Development and Industrial Training has received instructions from Haryana to admit students on the spot on vacant seats in the institutes. New and old applications will be combined and admitted on the basis of joint merit. He told that all the students who are interested for admission will have to present their merit card by appearing in the institute between February 13 and 15 at 2 pm. On the basis of merit, they will be admitted to the remaining seats.
No reservation will be applicable in this admission. He said that out of the total 176 seats in the institute, 20 seats still remain vacant. According to the new order, admission has been started on Saturday. Four to five students had reached the institute on Saturday to enroll. At the same time, about 170 seats remain vacant in the Government Model Industrial Training Institute located at Sector-14. A total of 920 seats are to be admitted to the institute under the session 2020-21.
