IPL 2021: 292 players shortlisted, know the base prize of Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun

VIVO IPL 2021 PLAYER AUCTION LIST: Final list of players whose name will be bid for IPL 2021 is ready. This time, a total of 292 players will be bid in the auction. This time 1114 players had registered, but the franchises of all eight teams short-listed 292 players.

Australian batsmen Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell have been placed in the Rs 2 crore base price category for the next Indian Premier League (IPL) auction to be held in Chennai on February 18, in addition to Yatsenier spinner Harbhajan Singh and middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav.

This time eight franchises will bid to fill 61 locations. Three players from 164 Indian, 125 foreign and associate countries got a place in the auction list. Royal Challengers Bangalore have the maximum 13 places available while Sunrisers Hyderabad can buy only three players.

The team of Kings XI Punjab will enter the auction with the highest amount of Rs 53 crore 10 lakh, while after Hyderabad it is a little less than 11 crore (10 crore 75 lakh). Chennai Superkings has Rs 22 crore 70 lakh and has seven places available.

Superkings has released Harbhajan and Jadhav this year. Arjun, the son of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar and left-arm fast bowler, has got a place in the lowest base price category of Rs 20 lakh in the revised list. Apart from Maxwell and Smith, foreign players include Shakib Al Hasan, Moin Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy and Mark Wood in the highest base price category.

In the base price category of Rs 1.5 crore, 12 players have got place while Indian batsman Hanuma Vihari and fast bowler Umesh Yadav are in the third category of Rs 1 crore. The auction will start at 3 pm Indian time.
