Instructions have been issued regarding opening of all senior college hostels, specialized institutes, residential schools, girls education complex, Eklavya Adarsh Residential schools and Gurukulam schools in tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh under Tribal Affairs Department. According to the official information, the instructions stated that the hostels should be run with caution from the rescue of Kovid-19. In this regard, the Commissioner Tribal Department has issued instructions to the district collectors of the state. Instructions have been given to start hostels in the state from 22 February.
It has been said in the instructions that only students of class 10th and 12th should be allowed to stay in hostels run by the department. Students of class 9th and 11th should not be placed in hostels. By doing this, social distancing can be followed in hostels. College hostels of the department have also been asked to be opened in the state. Parents have been asked to compulsorily obtain consent letters to keep students in hostels.
In a letter to the collectors, it has been said that a quarantine room should be set up separately in each hostel. Following the guidelines of Kovid-19, arrangements should be made for training of hostel superintendents and superintendents in collaboration with Health Department. Each hostel’s mobile number should be written on the notice board of the hostel, coordinating with their nearest primary health center, community health center and other government hospitals.
It has been said in the circular that regular and weekly health tests should be arranged in hostels in collaboration with the Health Department. Arrangements should be made to immediately go to the first aid center if any student has initial symptoms of Kovid-19 or any other problem. Special attention has been given to cleanliness in hostels. Presently, it has been asked not to open ashram, junior hostel in the districts.
