Team India captain Virat Kohli has joined the team after the paternity leave break. Virat arrived in Chennai from Mumbai on 27 January and will currently be in a rigorous quarantine of 6 days. Virat has recently become a father, on January 11, Virat’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma gave birth to a daughter. Virat went on paternity leave after the Adelaide Test during the Test series against Australia. Some pictures of Virat who reached Chennai are going viral on social media, in which he is seen wearing a black sweater and black mask.

Virat & Co. to clash with India A ahead of Test series on England tour

The four-Test series between India and England is scheduled to begin from February 5. The first two matches of the series are to be played in Chennai. Teams from India and England have reached Chennai and are currently going through a rigorous quarantine. After the quarantine period ends, both teams will get just three days to train and practice for the Test series. This will be Virat Kohli’s first series after becoming a father.

In his absence Ajinkya Rahane took charge of Team India. Team India lost in the Adelaide Test, after which Virat returned to Paternity Leave. Under Rahane’s captaincy, India again won the Melbourne Test to level 1-1 in the series. The Sydney Test ended on a draw, while in the decisive Test match played in Brisbane, India won the series 2–1 to register a historic win by three wickets.
