IND Vs ENG: Team India has achieved an 89-run lead till stumps on the second day of the last Test match being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. At one time, Team India had lost 6 wickets on the score of 146 runs and a century was falling behind them in the first innings. But Rishabh Pant, the new troubleshooter of Team India, put Team India in a very strong position by scoring a century.
This is the third century of Rishabh Pant’s Test career. However Rishabh Pant has scored his first century in India. Rishabh Pant completed his century by hitting a six off Joe Root’s ball and made this occasion very special. Earlier, Rishabh Pant scored centuries in Australia and England.
After scoring a century, however, Pant could not last long and was dismissed. But by the time Rishabh Pant was out, Team India had a 54-run lead against England out of a difficult situation.
Pant had missed the century three times.
Pant has missed three centuries recently. He scored 97, unbeaten 89 and 91 runs in his last seven matches against Australia and England and missed out on a century. But this time he completed his century.
Pant scored 114 runs in the Test against England at the Oval in September 2018, which was his first century in the Test. After this, he scored an unbeaten 159 in the Test match played against Australia in Sydney in January 2019, which was the second century of his career.
