Cheteshwar Pujara at number three and Gambhir at number four have chosen captain Virat Kohli. Gambhir has preferred Rishabh Pant over Wriddhiman Saha as the wicketkeeper. Pant has been elected to bat at number six, while vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has been retained at number five. Gambhir has chosen Akshar Patel as the all-rounder in this team. After this, R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Jaspreet Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj have been included in their playing XI.
