Batting coach Graham Thorpe told that Johnny Bairstow would come to India after the first Test match. Speaking at a virtual press conference, he said, “He (Johnny Bairstow) will be in Team Squad after the first Test.” However, Bairstow will join the team only after the second Test match, he is being called in advance. Johnny Bairstow is counted among England’s best Test batsmen and his record has been the best for the team since Joe Root. Bairstow had scored 139 runs in four innings in the Test series played against Sri Lanka.
