Team India’s cricketers have reached Chennai for the four-Test series against England. The first match of the series between India and England is to be played in Chennai from 5 February. Currently cricketers from both teams are going through a tough quarantine at a hotel in Chennai. After a six-day quarantine, both teams will be able to train and practice for the first Test match. Indian Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is in Chennai hotel room with his wife Radhika Dhopavkar and daughter Arya during this period. On the first day of the quarantine period, Rahane was seen dancing with his daughter Arya, whose video Radhika shared on social media.

In the absence of Virat, Rahane took command of three matches in the recently concluded Test series against Australia and in none of these three matches did India face defeat. India won the Melbourne Test, while Sydney missed out on the Test draw, retaining their possession of the Border-Gavaskar series by registering a historic win at Brisbane.

During the Test series against England, Indian cricketers are allowed to keep their family with them, but the family members will also have to live in the bio bubble. All the people living in the bio bubble will have to be confined to the hotel and grounds, they cannot get out of the bubble.
