Online admission for the first cutoff at Delhi University started with technical difficulties. In many colleges, where employees had problems in opening DU portal, the students faced difficulties in choosing their course and college. Problems coming to the portal were later rectified.
The most troublesome was the admission in-charge of colleges to verify certificates online. A DU official said that about 50 board students have applied for admission in DU but DU has only 20 board online links which can check the 12th certificate of that board. The remaining 30 board certificates cannot be verified immediately. After admission, when the student comes to college with his certificate, then his truth will be checked. Therefore, many colleges have doubts about this. Another nodal officer said that there is no problem in verifying the certifications of CBSE and Haryana board, but there are problems in verifying the certifications of other boards including Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. Many students also say that they had to wait a long time in response to the college.
Wore a deserted look on campus
due to refusal of the campus or college by DU were closed gate all colleges. Outside the gate, colleges had posted posters for the information of the students. On the day of the first cutoff, where there was a chalk in the campus, this time there was silence due to the situation arising from Kovid-19. Teachers and employees associated with admission in colleges were called, who were following the online admission process following social distancing.
Dr. Manoj Khanna, Principal of Ramjas College, told that the admission in-charge of every subject has been seated at different places who are looking at the process of online admission. No student or guardian is allowed in the college. All processes are being conducted online.
Many students have given a complaint to
DU in writing. Students who are battling with the parents coming during online admission in DU are not only mailing DU in this regard but are also giving written complaint to DU.
