HIT2 PUBLIC TALK | HIT 2 REVIEWS | HIT2 MOVIE RATING | ADAVI SESHU | NANI | SAILESH KOLANU: The director-producers have made it clear that there will be a continuation of the ‘hit’ that came two years ago. But… Adivi Sesh came into this project, surprising the audience who thought there would be a franchise movie with Vishwak Sen. While the story of ‘Hit’ revolves around the girl missing case, ‘Hit-2’ opens with an operation to trap a serial killer.
Visakhapatnam S. P. Krishnadev (Adv. Shesh) Eminent Officer. He solves any case that comes to his attention in seconds. His gut feeling is that criminals are the chicken bully compared to the police. He throws a psycho challenge to Krishnadev. He brutally murders a girl who works in a pub. Moreover… he puts the head as hers and the rest of the body parts as someone else’s. Krishnadev takes a wrong step in trying to catch the psycho who was careful not to get a single clue. Psycho targets Krishnadev’s family before he can fix it. What is the real motive of this serial killer? Why is he murdering the girls in the most brutal way? How did Krishnadev build those killer games? That is the rest of the story.

Shailesh Kolana became a successful director with his first film ‘Hit’. With that, huge expectations were also formed on the movie ‘Hit-2’. Keeping that in mind, he made the story of start to finish interesting without any deviation. At just two hours long, the main asset is the way the story of this psycho killer reaches its climax. But in order to run the story crisply, the director has left many things unexplained. All those gaps have to be filled by the audience! The director, who kept the audience on the edge of the seat for two hours, shows a middle-class boy turned serial killer in a much lighter vein. He has no qualms in targeting a group for a tragic incident in his life. No scenes were shown to strengthen it. Even the first case that Krishnadev solves doesn’t thrill much. There are records of such tricks being played in recent times in many movies to guess the killer. Also, the investigation that was done before it was confirmed that Raghav was the real protagonist is also said to have gone like a charm. The reason for trying to encounter him along with the minister was not strongly established. It makes no sense to say that the psycho targets women’s group leaders, but shows that all those he kills are girls under the age of one. Although there are many such loop holes in the story… overall the story is interesting and the director has passed.
SP Adivi Sesh has done well in the role of Krishnadev. As the recent film ‘Major’ is a biopic, there are some unseen obstacles to portraying that character. Not too much… not too little! But since Krishnadev is a fictional character, Adivi Sesh played it freely. Meenakshi Chaudhary as his girlfriend is set well. But her role is not very important. The director should know what is the relevance of showing that a district superintendent of police is cohabiting with a girl of his choice without getting married. Komali Prasad and Maganti Srinath who played the other lead roles have good screen presence. Rao Ramesh was not used much. Comedian Suhas, who became a hero with ‘Color Photo’, plays a key role in it. After watching the recent movie ‘Family Drama’, the director thought that perhaps Suhas would be set for this role. Bharani, Harshavardhan, Posani, Adarsh Balakrishna in other lead roles. Temper Shiva, Srikanth Iyengar, Geeta Bhaskar and others did it. It was revealed in the ending of this movie that natural star Nani is going to play a key role in ‘Hit-3’. The background music, cinematography as well as the dialogues are impressive. Production values are good. But apart from the story, the director should have focused on the story as well. This movie with ‘A’ certificate will impress the audience of ‘A’ class centers!
