Radish Parotta..
Mix wheat flour and ghee. In another bowl, add grated radish, coriander leaves, chopped ginger, green chillies, lemon juice and salt and mix. The dough should be made like Deepam Kunduz. Add radish mixture in each and close. Roll the stuffed balls into a chapati shape. Roast the parotas in a pan with ghee till they turn brown and eat them hot with curd for tasty and healthy.
Radish curry..
Mix gram flour, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and oil. Keep the mixture aside. After that fry mustard in oil. After that add asafoetida and chopped radish and fry well. Add radish leaves and saute again. Cover and cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally. After a while add the besan mixture and cover it. Cook for another two minutes, stirring occasionally. Radish curry is ready. This curry is amazing when eaten with rotis and parathas. If eaten with radish curry and parota, the body gets the necessary nutrients. Eating it during winter has more benefits.
Radish and lentil curry…
Mix chopped radish, dal, salt, turmeric powder and water in a pressure cooker. Cover and cook till three whistles. Saute cumin, bay leaf and cloves in ghee for a few seconds. Add green chillies, ginger, red chillies, asafoetida, boiled radish mixture, and water and cook for two-three minutes, stirring occasionally. Add chopped coriander and mix well. Radish dal is ready. It tastes super when eaten hot with some ghee.
Radish Kheer..
Boil grated radish in hot water, strain and keep aside. Boil milk in a pan. Add cardamom powder and bay leaves to it and cook. Fry radish in ghee. Then add milk and mix well. Add saffron and milk mixture and bring to a boil. Add cashews, raisins, almonds and grated coconut fried in ghee and cook for a few minutes. Add jaggery powder and a little salt to it and mix well. As soon as the hot radish kheer is ready. Tasty and healthy kheer can be eaten in sips. This kheer gives instant energy to the body.
Radish soup..
Fry radish slices in a pan. Mix the garam masala powder and water and cook the radish pieces well until they become soft. Mash the boiled radish pieces. After that strain. Add water and pepper powder to the strained radish liquid. Cook this soup again for 5 minutes. Garnish the soup with chopped coriander leaves and radish pieces. Drinking it hot at night in winter has good benefits.
