In this defense exhibition, more than 450 MoUs are likely to be signed in terms of MoUs, transfer of technology agreements, and innovations in weapon products. Compared to the last defense expo.. this number is very high. Then only 210 agreements were concluded. India and Africa are not only close allies but also partners. Both sides are negotiating to take this further. The representatives of the companies will discuss, enhance their capacity, and come to a decision to jointly deal with maritime threats like piracy and drug trafficking.
By 2025, the central government has set a target of achieving a turnover of 1 lakh 75 thousand crores in aerospace and defense products. Over the years, defense exports have been growing in the country. 13 thousand crores in the financial year 2021-22 and reached 8 thousand crores in this financial year. A total of 75 countries are participating in this defense expo. More than 43 African countries are participating in the India-Africa Defense Dialogue. 44 countries have come together to participate in the Indian Ocean Region Plus Conclave. Foreign ministers from 33 countries will also come to participate in this edition. A total. 1340 Indian companies, pavilions of 10 states.. are part of this defense expo.
As part of the Defense Expo. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and DRDO will perform live maneuvers. Also.. systems on land, sea, and air force will be displayed. As part of this, there will be demonstrations on combat freefall, Sarang helo aerobatics, getting into a boat from helicopters, high-speed boat run, and neutralizing enemy posts.
