Ethics Committee of the House will review the behavior of MLAs
In this regard, the Speaker has said that it is the responsibility of everyone to take care of the dignity of the House. No one can be allowed to cross the Lakshman Rekha. It is known that on Tuesday, opposition legislators created a ruckus in the Assembly for not introducing the Bihar Special Armed Police Bill 2021. The MLA was not allowing the Speaker to get out of his chamber. After this, the police had to call the House for the first time to control the situation. After this, the marshals and policemen of the Legislative Assembly together got the MLAs out of the House. The next day on Wednesday, opposition members boycotted the proceedings of the assembly.
Mark guilty policemen
The Speaker has directed DGP SK Singhal and Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Chaitanya Prasad to speak on the phone and mark the police officers convicted in the case of misbehavior by policemen with MLAs and provide reports. The Chairman has directed both the officers to take cognizance and mark the guilty policemen. So that action can be taken against the guilty personnel. Earlier on Thursday, at the press conference in Patel Bhavan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Chaitanya Prasad said on the question of calling the police in the Assembly and the allegations of police beatings with legislators that any investigation will be done on the orders of the Speaker. The Assembly premises is the jurisdiction of the Speaker.
