But when Bollywood’s Heiman came to know that the film was being made with Rajesh Khanna, he became very angry. He called Rishi Da at night and cried a lot in Punjabi. Throughout the night, he used to call and harass the director.

The film was done at a very low fee

According to media reports, by that time Rajesh Khanna had become a big star. He used to charge 8 lakh rupees for a film. But this film was signed by Rajesh Khanna for only one lakh rupees. It is also said that Kishore Kumar, Shashi Kapoor were also approached earlier for this film but due to some reasons this film could not be made with them. After all, this super hit film and this powerful role went to Rajesh Khanna’s bag. Released on March 12, 1971, this film has completed its 50 years i.e. Golden Jubilee.
