One thousand devotees will be able to perform waterfowl on Sunday at Baba Vaidyanath, the best Kamalinga in Dwadash Jyotirlingas. Now, along with Jharkhand, devotees of any state will be able to reach the Baba Durbar and offer water. However, it will be mandatory for devotees to get an online pass for worship. Devotees arriving with e-passes will be offered water from 6 am to 2 pm. Watering of devotees will be done only through Argha. Sparsh Puja will be banned till the order is not issued at the government level. Spontaneous worship has been prohibited to prevent the spread of corona infection.

Deputy Commissioner Kamleshwar Prasad Singh gave this information on Saturday. The decision has been taken after some days of uproar over the demand of Baba temple to be opened for the common devotees. On Saturday, after the dharna-demonstration and ho-hum at the Baba temple entrance, Sardar Panda gate, the security commissioner issued a order related to this, after the pilgrims entered the Baba temple courtyard and laid down their water .

The resentment among the local people was deepened due to the condition of the Deoghars becoming extremely bad due to the closure of the Baba temple for seven months and the opening of e-pass to only 200 devotees from Jharkhand in the last few months. A new system has been announced by the administration to control the situation. DC has also said that police officers and forces will be sought from the state for security if needed.
