Delhi Police's crackdown on those who spread fake news on farmer movement, one man arrested

New Delhi: Delhi Police has started taking action against those who spread fake news about the farmer movement through social media. Notices have been issued to them. According to the police, recently the news of firing on the farmer protester was spread through social media. While 500 policemen were injured in this violence. Not only this, due to the farmers’ agitation, fake news of the registration of 200 Delhi Policemen has also been posted on social media. Also, an attempt was made to spoil the atmosphere through old photographs and videos.

Internet ban on border due to security reasons

According to Delhi Police, the border has been banned on the Internet for security reasons. But it is being wrongly projected through social media. The Delhi Police has registered an FIR against those who spread such fake news and the police will take action on them soon. According to the police, there is an attempt to get the support of the people back through such fake news which has been reduced during the tractor rally due to the disturbance at ITO, Red Fort and other places.

According to the police, recently a person named Prakash Dhatarwal from Churu has been arrested for spreading the news through old video. The person had reported in a news about the design of 200 policemen of Delhi Police. Delhi Police will arrest more people who run fake news on social media regarding the farmer movement.
